Got a problem with baseball? Move to Norw- oh wait
To promote Major League Baseball’s comeback from the 1994 players strike, Nike ran a series of feel good ads designed to dispute some of the common complaints about the game of baseball, punctuating each ad with a still shot of the catchphrase, "Got a Problem With Baseball? Move to Norway!"
There was just one slight problem with the campaign: The implication that one should move to Norway because they don’t have baseball there.
But ESPN did some research and ran a feature that showed there was an actual baseball league in Norway. In fact, a couple of Americans played on teams in that league. The segment below is not the clip in question, but it's a fairly recently clip of... baseball in Norway.
Shortly after ESPN's expose segment, the ads suddenly disappeared from TV and were never seen on network TV again.
